velas turtle festival 2012

Sleepy town of Velas in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra comes alive in the month of March every year when the Turtle eggs conserved by the local NGO hatches and baby turtles are released in to the sea... We were fortunate  to be present on 
2-4 March 2012 to witness the miracle of nature.
